Whether you're a beginner or have some sewing experience, this course will provide you with the essential techniques and confidence to tackle a variety of sewing projects. Course Highlights: Week 1: Introduction to Sewing Basics - Getting to know your sewing machine - Essential tools and materials - Basic stitching techniques Week 2: Seam Techniques - Understanding different types of seams - Practicing straight, French, and flat-felled seams - Tips for achieving professional-looking seams Week 3: Zippers - Installing different types of zippers (centered, lapped, invisible) - Troubleshooting common zipper issues - Creative applications for zippers in projects Week 4: Buttons and Buttonholes - Techniques for sewing various buttons - Creating perfect buttonholes - Adding button closures to garments and accessories Week 5: Pattern Techniques - Reading and understanding sewing patterns - Pattern layout and cutting - Adjusting patterns for a perfect fit Week 6: Advanced Techniques and Final Project - Combining learned techniques into a final project - Advanced stitching and finishing techniques - Showcasing and sharing your completed work By the end of this course, you'll have a solid foundation in sewing and the skills needed to create your own custom projects. Cancellation Policy

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY: PLEASE READ We do not issue refunds on any workshop registrations. If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use toward any future event if you notify us at least 72 hours before the workshop.*** To cancel and request a credit, email us at diana@sewunik.com. We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 72 hours advance notice. ***Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!*** ***Credits cannot be given for Fashion Camp (Deposits or Full Balance) ***Credits cannot be given for Series Workshops Our classes start on time so please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time in order to set up your sewing space. Those arriving 20 minutes after the start of class will not be admitted and the class fee will be forfeited. SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Class fees may be transferred to a future class or refunded. There must be at least four students in a class. Supply lists are available upon registration. If one is not available at that time, you will be notified as soon as it becomes available. By registering for a class, I grant SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. permission to photograph or video myself or my child’s participation in SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. classes. I also grant SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. permission to use the photos in a promotional capacity including but not limited to print materials, website and social media. In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date.
