Service Description

Are you a complete sewing newbie? Are you feeling daunted at the thought of using a sewing machine? Does it feel like rocket science to you? We promise – this workshop is exactly what you’re looking for! After spending three hours with one of our expert tutors, you will come away feeling confident, proud of your achievements, and inspired to practice and learn more. Plus, you will be the owner of a fabulous new boxy tote bag 🙂 What’s there not to like??? WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: How to set up and thread a sewing machine and how to wind a bobbin How to cut and pin fabric using a simple pattern How to sew straight seams and how to finish them with zigzag stitching How to sew corners How to create a boxy shape How to troubleshoot common sewing machine issues A supply list will be sent immediately after enrollment Age Requirement: This class is open to all individuals ages 8 and up.

Cancellation Policy

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY: We do not issue refunds on any workshop registrations. If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use toward any future event if you notify us at least 72 hours before the workshop.*** To cancel and request a credit, email us at diana@sewunik.com. Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to in-store merchandise purchases. We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 72 hours advance notice. ***Credits cannot be given for any registrations for workshops hosted by visiting instructors. Due to the nature of these one-time-only workshops, all events hosted by special guests are subject to this policy. Thank you for understanding!*** ***Credits cannot be given for Fashion Camp (Deposits or Full Balance) ***Credits cannot be given for Series Workshops Our classes start on time so please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time in order to set up your sewing space. Those arriving 20 minutes after the start of class will not be admitted and the class fee will be forfeited. SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Class fees may be transferred to a future class or refunded. There must be at least four students in a class. Supply lists are available upon registration. If one is not available at that time, you will be notified as soon as it becomes available. By registering for a class, I grant SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. permission to photograph or video myself or my child’s participation in SEW UNIK STUDION, LLC. classes. I also grant SEW UNIK STUDIO, LLC. permission to use the photos in a promotional capacity including but not limited to print materials, website and social media. In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date.
